Which trails are you near?
StayWV is centrally located among four southern Hatfield-McCoy trail systems: Warrior, Indian Ridge, Pinnacle Creek, and Pocahontas. Our guests typically enter the trail network using Warrior Trail 11 or Pinnacle Creek Trail 25.
Can we ride to the trails from our lodging?
Yes! Once you arrive, you can park your trailer and ride from your StayWV property to the trails. Southern West Virginia is welcoming to ATV and UTV riders, and you can also ride to nearby groceries, restaurants, and more. If you’d like help planning your route, text us at 304-250-9159.
Is there room to park my truck and trailer?
Absolutely! Every StayWV property has dedicated paved parking for trucks and trailers:
- Trail Hut: Room for up to 6 trucks and trailers
- element6: Room for up to 4 trucks and trailers
- Carbon Suites: Room for 1 truck and trailer at each suite

Where can we purchase Hatfield-McCoy trail permits?
You can purchase trail permits through us in advance or when you arrive at any of our three properties. Just let us know what works best for your group.

Can you accommodate a larger group?
Yes! Trail Hut and element6 are great options for groups, and we can often accommodate larger parties by booking two or more StayWV accommodations together. Text us at 304-250-9159 with your dates and group size, and we’ll help you find the best fit.
What time is check-in and checkout?
Check-in begins at 5:00 p.m., and checkout is by 10:00 a.m. Need to arrive earlier or stay a little later? Text us ahead of time. We’re happy to consider requests case by case, depending on the time needed to prepare the property between guests.
